The short version
- This site has one form, the contact form. What you type there goes to Smadja Studios and is used only to answer you and, if you hire us, to work with you on the project.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and the site itself sets no cookies.
- You can ask for your details to be deleted at any time: privacy@smadjastudios.com.
Who is responsible
Smadja Studios is the independent design and engineering lab of Adam Smadja (“we” below). We decide what happens to the details sent through this website, and we are the people who read your message.
What is collected
Only what you enter in the contact form:
- your name, your email address and your message;
- if you choose to give them, any links you add.
With each message we also record the time it arrived, the country it came from (as reported by our host), and whether the form’s automatic spam check passed. To stop floods, a one-way hash of your connection’s address is kept for up to two hours, then deleted.
How it is used
To read and reply to your message, to discuss and quote your project, and if you hire us, to deliver it. Your details are never sold, never used for marketing, and never added to a mailing list.
If you are in the EU or UK, the legal basis is that you asked to be contacted (steps taken at your request before a possible contract), together with our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Who handles it
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website, receives the form, stores your message in a database in our Cloudflare account and emails it to us. Like any host it also processes connection data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Our email provider stores the notification email.
The site’s fonts and images are served from smadjastudios.com itself, so your browser does not contact font or image services elsewhere.
Cookies and tracking
The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell people from automated traffic.
How long it is kept
For as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any project that follows it. You can ask for deletion at any time, and it will be removed from our database and inbox.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details you sent, or object to their use. Write to privacy@smadjastudios.com. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
